a.k.a. records' used bin is even better than i remembered. with that and hannah's consumerist influence (she bought four, and it wasn't even her idea), it was useless to resist. i ended up with five titles (primal scream's xtrmntr, luke vibert + bj cole's stop the panic, the lilys' better can't make your life better, migala, and the international noise conspiracy) for my leftover money. and i picked up the new philly indie, which may be the best yet.

that after a most pleasant meal at this italian place, marred a bit by hannah's sickness-induced lack of appetite. it was fancier than anticipated, but that was kind of fun. not too expensive either - recommended. also, we saw bowling for columbine, which was very entertaining and well done although flawed and too long. among the better moments: marilyn manson, "africanized" bees, an unbelievably thick-skulled tv producer, and a canadian guy with an I <3 NY t-shirt ("do you like it here?" "oh yes!" "and the t-shirt…?" "yes, the t-shirt too!" also - teenage fanclub covering "take the skinheads bowling" and joey ramone covering "what a wonderful world."

a good date! and a good salvage to a rainy day, with beautiful morning fog. i'll have to see the new tykwer another time. now, i think, i'll go to the deshi party.

hand me a cigarette, jim
and ask the paramedic
if she will be my wife
