i stayed up until four the other night (yesterday, technically) engaged in the marvelous activity of making cover art, which i haven't done seriously for far too long. armed with a stack of
international wildlifes and some old calendars, about five pairs of scissors, and the miracle that is double-sided tape, i adorned several burned discs for martha and my parents, created a b&w filmstar/calendar-motif design for the musician plugs mix. and some elephants for ester's mountain goats 2-set. but my greatest achievement was this tape cover - well, you'll see it (or if you're ester, you've already seen it.) about the only good thing to come of my having had 100 cds stolen freshman year is that i now have a nearly inexhaustible supply of jewel cases.
so. on accordingly little sleep, over the course of my travels yesterday, i encountered a remarkable assortment of folks, and i actually talked to them, which isn't something i'm generally wont to do when i travel alone. perhaps that day of talking to a lot of strangers, after having talked to nobody for so long, served as a good transition for me to come back to talking to a lot of people i do know, because i felt extremely talkative this evening.
aww, you know - i'm so wiped. i'm not going to write this now. enough of this blustery godspeed: i'm gonna put on
playthroughs and fall asleep. but (of course) it's great to be back. yeeaow.
oh yeah
all right
take it easy baby
make it last all night
