i finally heard the !!! song today and i decided we need to have it for our party, so i splurged and bought it. nice when a splurge only sets you back six bucks. it was a bit hard to find actually - if you're looking, it's filed as "chk chk chk," in the singles section. impressive how they've parlayed three characters into more nicknames than god (maybe not, S/He has a lot of nicknames.) in the virgin store, i saw that preposterously cute little redheaded freshman girl from school, but she didn't seem to recognize me.

then i came home and the 'teers and i made a plan of attack for the evening. unfortunately by the time we got to the shopping part all of the supermarkets in the area were closed (brooklyn: the boro that sleeps), so we scaled back to a shorter shopping list to maximize what we could prep tonight. we had to pop into all the bodegas down myrtle, but we eventually got everything we needed, one store at a time: one place had pineapple-guava juice, the next had cereal, one had a succulent watermelon and reasonably priced salsa, and finally the one just around our corner had raisins (though we had to haggle them down.) so, now we can make granitas, bean dip, and oatmeal cookies.

on the plus side (of the no supermarket thing): we have an apartment.

movies: winged migration, blue velvet.
books: hp3, thrilling tales, tdalogac
weather: cold in the office (xina's wearing sweaters), like a sauna outside (people say that like it's a bad thing).
bickering: up 3/4s, down 5/8s
the G vs. the Q: the G wins this round
