mucho vacillación
have to forgo a handful of planned openers because it's later than i wanted. the 'net's back down on my home 'puter, something that happened as i was downloading the apple software update hoo-hah. so i'm writing from the library (indie branch yo) and this will have to be short and anecdotal disjointed rather than long and essayish and disjointed. which i'm sure you're happy about.
for starters, today is elvis' birthday yay!! we listened to the bonus disc of the rhino armed forces @p4. also so happens i'm reading a new [bloomin'] book about The Man, which is how i knew about that even before it was on npr. (also, the ivory-bill rediscovery, still unconfirmed after audiographical testing on the alleged call recording - what i want to know is, is there another bird they think that call could be if not an ivory-bill? seems like a key question that was not mentioned in "radio expedition" or whatever.)
the book is good, of course i'm gulfing it [so] like candy, mixmaster metaphors, it sort of feels like a guiltily fluff read, which is pretty much why and what i anticipated. i'm a little unsure about his riff-ripoff attributions (this year's girl = you won't see me; rebel rebel = two little hitlers?]
hum, no time left and this isn't really an entry after all.
james sent me this link and it's funny!: [click]
more soon i hope?
i think i'm a winner baby
(probably las vegas)
