Another upshot of the party the other night, or more accurately the Sigur Ros concert, is that I'M GOING TO ICELAND! Joel and Matt convinced me that I must see this band, and Iceland Air is offering a package deal of round trip airfare, four nights in a hotel, and full admission to the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival for $559 per person (assuming double occupancy.) When we first realized this, I was a little dubious, but I soon realized that it was imminently possible. I called home today to see what the 'rents say, and Mom sez "well, I have to talk to your father, but basically, yes." Matt Rubin has been flying off the handle ever since he decided to go - especially at Paces last night, when all the servers were drunk (especially manageress Jolly, who kissed the girls and made them drink champagne), the place was packed, and the service was impossible. I sat with Ester, Matt, Marc, Elena, Jessie, Rob, Nate, and some others, didn't get any of the food I ordered, but was able to procrastinate for a while before going home. More tomorrow, maybe.
